Sports Commentators

My darling hubby has a wonderful knack of being an expert on any sports game that appears on the TV on a Saturday afternoon. No matter how obscure the sport (darts, football, baseball, tiddlywinks, whatever) he is an expert on the player's abilities or ineptitudes. He knows all about the game strategies or the strategies they should be playing. It has never ceased to amaze me. How does he know this stuff about everything?

Tonight my boys are playing on the Wii during their TV time. They have done skiing and boxing and are currently playing golf. Now, their personal exposure to these sports is decidedly limited - but already they are "talking the talk".

I hear "gently, gently", "OK Dave, now chip it in", "Alex you need to do the double corkscrew", "Well done", "Good shot"....

They are clearly practicing for manhood and are nearly ready to be declared Experts in All Sports.
