If you remember (and I don't blame you if you don't) about 18 months ago we adopted 2 street kittens from a rescue society here. Upon our return from SA in 2008, we found that one had become totally street (since when we've hardly glimpsed her, let alone petted her) and the other started messing in the house and thus reached a premature end.
Yesterday, the street-cat-seldom-spied-and-never-touched, aka Tabitha, arrived home. It waltzed inside the house, beat up Pearl (cheered on by Darrell) then jumped up on the couch and curled up beside me, purring and resting various body parts on me as they needed stroking.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND CATS.
