The boys abandoned us on Friday last week. Darrell, Alex and David packed up the camping gear and headed off to Oman with 7 other families for a week's camping. These are photos from their trip - they saw turtle laying eggs and babies scurrying down to the sea before dawn...magic.
Yesterday we went and explored the souk at Meena Ports and had a great time. Mom bought some gifts and I bought a lovely big stainless steel mixing bowl (yes, I know, the things that make me happy are strange), we had some corn-in-a-cup, and Stephie bought herself a ceramic horse to be painted. We wanted to go to the bookstore there as well, but they closed at 1pm, only opening again at 4.30 (when they would stay open until 11pm), so we had to give that a miss.
Today we were going to go to the more upmarket souk at Karyat Al Beri, but Steph put paid to that by throwing up all morning - the joys of parenthood!
