The Expat Wife

For just over a year now I have benefitted from having Daisy in our home, pandering to my every wish and whim. I have not had to lift a finger unless I wanted to, which has been very bad for me indeed. I mean, who exactly WANTS to clean the loo or tackle the ironing?
And the time has now come for Daisy to take her annual leave. Under protest ("but Madam, how will you manage without me?") we booked her flight to the Philippines and I took her to the airport on Monday morning. She is going to be gone for 3 weeks. I was going to book the ticket for 5 weeks but she said she didn't think she could stand being with her family for that long and would I please just make it 3 weeks.
Darrell asked her to please leave a list for me of the daily household tasks so that I wouldn't forget any. Very funny.
Anyway, so I can't believe how busy I've been for the past 2 days. Washing, ironing, cooking, sweeping, shopping....it never ends. And as for trying to find a babysitter, hen's teeth are far commoner.
WHEN am I going to find time to get my pedicure done?
