For those of you who've been wondering where we've been - well, we're now in Doha, Qatar. So look no more for us in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We've swopped Middle Eastern countries. They are actually pretty similar except the roads in Doha are much worse. Other than that... sand, sand, sand, calls to prayer, sand, sand....
The kids seem to be pretty happy with their new school, which is a huge relief to me, but the dogs (yes, they made the move with us) have rated the daily walks as rather poor. In fact, very poor. The cat (yes, we took him too, I still can't believe it) seems to be happy with the new place, his new subjects all seem happy to let him rule the road without too much fighting to claim it as his domain.
Today was a big day for the Bergesen family - we finally got internet. Up until now we've been surviving off our Blackberries (TGFB) which gets a bit tricky when it comes to trying to blog or download large attachments from the school. They are very fond of sending stuff. Lots of stuff.
The biggest loss to our family over our move is.... Daisy! She had to go home to the Philippines, as we couldn't get her a work visa so she could accompany us. In fact, we haven't even got our own work visas yet, but that's another post. However, we've heard from her several times, she is thrilled to be reunited with her daughter, and has plans for getting married in the future - good luck Daisy!
