Dogs

As some of you may know, I've been getting involved with SAD dogs (Strays of Abu Dhabi) the dog rescue organisation here in Abu Dhabi.

At the moment we've got a very elegant young man staying with us who had never seen a TV before - he tried to protect us from it when these strange people arrived in our lounge as we were relaxing after supper.

Last week six young dogs were abandoned in some wasteland, their only shelter some concrete blocks and no food or water accessible anywhere. The SAD volunteer managed to gain their trust after 4 days of feeding them, and then bring them in for homing. I was telling someone about these poor pups left to die (or fry), and her comment was priceless.

Yes, she said, these people aren't very good with animals, are they?
