Darrell and I decided that we need to go out together once a week and Wednesday night was our first night. Usually when we have a "date" one of the kids breaks something or starts vomitting or something conspires to ruin it. This time, barr Darrell getting back from Dubai later than desired, nothing went wrong!
We had supper at home, then drove down to the Corniche. We hired a two seater tricycle and cycled up and down the corniche on the cycle path - some excercise for my man! Only one of the seats had pedals, the other seat (mine) was just a passenger seat. Once Darrell was tired we got ourselves some very decadent ice creams and went for a romantic walk along the beach (albeit no hand holding). Considered going for a swim as the beach was open for swimming until midnight but were put off by the logisitcs (not romantic now, I know, but we're getting old).
Enjoyed our stroll and the night life around, the lights shimmering on the water...
Very relaxing and refreshing evening, lots of chatting done and not too late a night. Lovely. Are all set for our date next week - not sure what we'll do then. Maybe a wild club? Or not...
