On Weds I received a call from the Identity Authority - a card (or cards, they were very unclear) is ready and they would deliver it at 9.30 on Thursday morning. Very good. I'm very impressed with this speed and efficiency.
At 12.45 I had to go and collect the kids from school (finishes at 1 during Ramadan) and sure as nuts...at 1.03 I receive a call from the delivery man. He's at my door, where am I? I pointed out that he was a little later than he had arranged, which he acknowledged with gales of laughter. Very amusing. I suggested that he leave the delivery with Daisy, which he again found very funny. No, he had to see the receipt to make sure I had paid for the card (s). Although, as far as I was aware, if you didn't pay, they wouldn't issue the card.
Anyway, he couldn't wait for me to get back, apparently he was working on the "fast track" so he promised to come again on Saturday morning.
Before 10am....
