I have decided that Tabitha has been taken over by aliens. They have inhabited her body and sent the real Tabs away to their planet. The Tabs we now have follows me around like a dog (doesn't she KNOW I don't like cats?), tries to sleep on my bed, settles on the couch with D and myself in the evening and even purrs. Very annoying.
But she is impressive in one important way. She chases Pearl.
Sparkly (David's cat) is scared of Pearl, so Pearl has kinda got the idea that cats are something-to-be-chased. Tabitha is changing that perception rapidly. The only one chasing is Tabs and the one running with her tail between her legs is Pearl.
Last night we brought home a SAD dog for fostering. She is large and when Tabs saw her, Tabs blew herself up and stared the New Dog down. Stalked slowly towards New Dog. New Dog discovered something that had to be investigated urgently in another room.
Tabs 2. Snoop 0. Pearl 0.
Actually, I like this new cat. If only she wouldn't nest on me at night!
