What Queue??

Today I had to go for my medical test to get my new visa. This involved driving into the hospital in the centre of the city (nightmare traffic), finding parking (praying swung it for me) and queueing with hundreds of other women all intent on the same thing.
However, I had the advantage : I requested fast track service when I got my ticket number. So instead of standing behind the 150 women in the waiting room, the guard took me straight to the front of the room to an empty desk where my paperwork was instantly processed. Then another guard took me to the next place where again I walked past waiting women, and had my blood test. Yet another guard, and I jumped to the head of the queue for the X-ray.
And I was done. So something that takes 3 - 4 hours took me just under 20 minutes purely because I could afford to pay a little bit extra.
I was torn between joy at my quick exit and guilt at being one of the privileged few.
