Weather permitting..

This is not a phrase used much here in the UAE, but we're employing it at the moment.

We have been having torrential rain, gale force winds and even hail stones that have piledup knee deep. Personally, I've been enjoying it - when the rains started Darrell and I dashed outside (I was in my PJs) to get soaked. The kids thought we were mad, but they often think that anyway, so no difference there.

One of my British friends here is in her element - she gets to discuss the weather every day. And nothing makes a good Brit happier...!
The only difficulty is that we, and a group of friends, are booked into Dreamland aqua park for the weekend. Lotsa fun, lotsa water, lotsa slides, lotsa money....So if lotsa bad weather, we're notsa keen!
We're watching the weather reports with trepidation. Weather permitting, we'll be off to Dreamland on Friday....
