Our date was such fun that we decided to share it with our kids. So last night we all trekked down to the Corniche. The kids are on half term break at the moment, so I could allow them a late night for once (although it really goes against the grain). Good thing I was prepared to be lax as Darrell only got home from work at 7 - when bedtime normally begins.
We had a lovely time, all five of us swimming in the Persian Gulf, the water lit only by moonlight...or actually, by the light of the city directly in front of us. The water was warm but not yet hot - by mid summer the sea is too hot to swim in - and the air had cooled down to about 30, so it was perfect. The boys played some football on the beach, we had supper at a little cafe serving on the beach, and then hired some bikes/trikes and rode up and down. Except for one time when I got off because David's driving scared me so much......
Would post a picture except, once again, I forgot the camera...
